About Hadestown

Hadestown is a genre-defying musical by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, directed by Rachel Chavkin, that intertwines two mythic love stories: Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and Queen Persephone. Set to a haunting, jazz-, folk-, and blues-inspired score, the show reimagines Greek mythology through a bold, contemporary lens—asking timeless questions about sacrifice, trust, and the power of hope.

Doors Open

Doors open at 7:00 PM. This is the time patrons will be allowed to enter the building, get concessions, and find their seats before the show.

Curtain

Hadestown starts at 7:30 PM SHARP! This show will have door holds during musical numbers and certain scenes – this means that if you’re late you might miss the beginning of the show! 

Run Time

Hadestown runs for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with one 20 minute intermission.
