General InfoEMERGENCY: Please note the exit sign nearest the seat you occupy as it is the shortest route to the street in the event of a fire or other emergency. Please follow the instructions of ushers or other theatre personnel.
LATECOMERS: Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the Theatre Management during appropriate pauses in the program. Please be respectful of other patrons trying to enjoy the performance.
PERSONAL PROPERTY: Please note the Strand Theatre and its personnel can not be responsible for patrons' personal apparel or property. Lost and found inquiries may be directed to our administrative offices Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm at 318-226-1481.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES: In consideration for other patrons please turn off all Cell phones, pagers and other electronic devices before the start of the performance and until the performance is over. Emergency calls can be received on our Box Office phone at 318-226-8555.
RESTROOMS: Restrooms are located on the second floor and in the basement.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS: Wheelchair seating locations are available upon request from the Strand Theatre Box Office. The Box Office policy is to sell one wheelchair ticket and one companion ticket together. Patrons with special needs are encouraged to contact the Box Office at 318-226-8555 in advance.
ELEVATOR: An Elevator is located outside of the Box Office. Please note there is NO ELEVATOR to the Upper Balcony.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND RECORDING: Cameras and recording devices may not be brought into the Theatre without consent of the Strand Theatre Management beforehand. Please note that the recording in any form of a live performance may be a violation of federal copyright laws.
TICKETS: There is a $3.50 per ticket Handling Fee added to tickets purchased. All tickets purchased are Non-Refundable. Sales Tax may be added to the cost of ticket(s) when applicable. Tickets may be exchanged for another performance at the Strand for a $3.50 per ticket Handling Fee. Online ticket ordering is available until 48 hours prior to scheduled event. Show tickets ordered less than one week prior to the event will be held at the Strand Box Office for pick up or can be picked up at the Will Call Box one hour prior to performance.
DONATIONS: The Strand Theatre relies heavily on donations from our "Friends of the Strand" to keep bringing quality entertainment to the Shreveport/Bossier City area.
Friends of the Strand have a right to purchase tickets for Strand Season shows before the general public as well as other special benefits. For more information please call our Adminsitrative Office Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm at 318-226-1481.
GIFTS IN HONOR AND IN MEMORY OF: Donations can be made to the Strand Theatre in Honor or Memory of and be included in our Season Programs. A letter acknowleding your gift will be sent to the person(s) indicated on the form. (The amount of your gift will be kept confidential) Please be sure to include the name of the person being honored or memorialized, name and address of person you wish to receive an acknowledgment, along with your name and address so we can send your tax donation letter.
MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM: Many companies will match an employee's donation. Please check with your place of business to see if a matching gift program is available. The Strand Theatre is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER: At the Strand Theatre volunteers are an essential part of the patrons experience. From welcoming patrons to the Strand, taking tickets at the door, passing out programs, and helping patrons find their seats.
To become a volunteer you must: show an interest in the performing arts; a willingness to serve all patrons with care and respect; a professional demeanor; punctuality and flexibility in all assignments. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
